This is the first entry in the HigherEd 2.0 (HED 2.0) blog, and we hope this blog is up to the task of capturing the excitement surrounding technology in (higher) education. The huge potential of so many new tools, techniques, and pedagogical innovations enabled by modern technologies is incredible and will surely be a challenge to keep up with.

The idea here is to write about our experiences in deploying web 2.0 technologies in our higher education courses, and to serve as a running commentary on what we do, what we find, what seems to work, and what does not. We'll also write about new hardware and software tools, plus new teaching techniques, that we come across that seem worth discussing. The whole point is to share with the online community the details of this project and (hopefully) all the great outcomes we can achieve.
